New York, NY, February 22, 2016 (Newswire.com) - ​Users will never again be in the dark when using this new unit called The Back Lit Power Strip. It is a modification to a power strip that offers two variations of illuminated or lighted outlets. The design intent of this unit is to provide a new electrical accessory that not only offers multiple outlets but also makes it easier to see the plug sockets by either illuminating the entire socket, or just the outline of the sockets, expediting and facilitating appliance and device connection with ease.  An illuminated surge protector can also be produced in The Back Lit Power Strip line.
 
The Back Lit Power Strip is rectangular and boasts a shatterproof casing.  On one end is a simple on/off switch that controls power to the device as well as powers on the outlet lights. Each outlet contains a light emitting diode (LED) which, as mentioned above, would cast or illuminate each outlet in its entirety or in a ring of light around each outlet. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Back Lit Power Strip.
