Shopping for fruit in the grocery store or farmer’s market requires good eyesight and touch capabilities. As perfect as it appears when you get the produce home, premature spoilage seems to end its life before you had an opportunity to prepare or eat it. This new appliance will change that for all users. Fruit Life is a motorized, temperature-controlled device specially designed for housing, displaying, and preserving fresh fruits and vegetables. The design intent is to provide a simple and effective means of keeping these foods fresh at an appropriate temperature, separate and free of moisture, so that they do not spoil so quickly, and easily visible to encourage consumption.
Fruit Life is a motorized, temperature-controlled device specially designed for housing fruits and vegetables. Users are able to better store produce at a regulated temperature, free of exposures that cause premature spoilage. Fruit Life is a circular unit standing upright vertically with glass walls surrounding the chamber and glass double doors at the front to allow for ingress and egress. The base houses the unit's motor and refrigeration system; a handy digital display screen is positioned beside buttons to allow for raising and lowering the internal temperature. Inside, three ventilated baskets of increasing width (large, medium, and small) are suspended vertically for storage of fruits and vegetables of various sizes. Fruit Life operates on conventional 110 volts, 60 hertz power connected to a standard power outlet. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Fruit Life.
The Patent Pending Fruit Life was invented by Victor Enriquez of Melrose Park, IL who said, “This unit will extend and prolong the freshness of fruits and vegetables. It eliminates the risk of early spoilage and saves money for the user while providing fresh looking and tasting fruit and vegetables. It works.”
