BRONX, NY, December 8, 2017 (Newswire.com) - The Merriam-Webster online dictionary describes the word information in more than one definition but this one particularly defines a new product. Information is the communication or reception of knowledge or intelligence obtained from investigation, study or instruction. The 911 Upgrade is a ring to be worn on a person's finger and equipped with both a GPS tracking chip and a push-button, wireless connection to the nearest 911 emergency dispatcher. An ideal safety device for any consumer – but perhaps especially for females, the elderly, and motorists – the 911 Upgrade permits the wearer to summon help immediately and discreetly and guide emergency-responders, as quickly as possible, to their precise location.
Produced in styles and sizes appropriate for girls, boys, women and men and featuring not only a push-button, wireless radio transmitter (operating on cellphone radio frequencies) that will send an emergency alert or “panic call” to the nearest 911 dispatcher, but also a GPS tracking chip that will be used by emergency-services to identify the wearer's exact geographical position and movements. Disguised as a stylish ring the 911 Upgrade enables anyone in an emergency/threatening situation to simply press a button to summon help. To provide that help – whether police, fire, or emergency medical services – their exact, up-to-the-moment location is immediately indicated. The 911 Upgrade is waterproof, shockproof, weatherproof and fabricated in either metal or a synthetic polymer. The ring's wireless transmitter is powered by a lithium-ion battery and both the battery and the transmitter are situated beneath the head of the ring. As the push-button control for the transmitter will also be at the head of the ring, with sliding/pivoting protection from accidental impacts or from dust. The GPS tracking chip is also situated in the head of the ring. The 911 Upgrade is accompanied by software enabling the user to link the ring's transmitter-signal to his or her 911 address as well as their phone number(s). This feature enables the 911 dispatcher to immediately call back for more information. While this feature is useful to the 911 dispatcher it is not essential as the victim may not be able to answer the phone. Essentially once the button on the ring is pressed help is on the way to the victim's exact location. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the 911 Upgrade.
The 911 Upgrade is Patent Pending and was invented by William Diaz of Bronx, NY who said, “The product name itself describes the importance of information uploaded to 911 and when the ring is pressed to activate a distress signal it provides the needed information for law enforcement help. This is a life-saver for all users. It gives immediate, discreet and portable means of summoning 911 for help at anytime from anywhere. And last, but not least, this can be a key for anti-kidnapping. It works.”
