"The Germ Knob": A Product Line Of Anti-Microbial Doorknob Covers And Shopping Cart Handle Covers

Invents introduces "The Germ Knob" which kills bacteria and viruses on contact preventing spread of germs on one's fingers and hands.

As cautious as one might be about using a public phone, an office phone, a shopping cart at the grocery store or elsewhere, germs still lurk, sometimes where least expected, such as a door knob. The Germ Knob is a product line of anti-microbial doorknob covers and shopping cart handle covers that are designed to kill bacteria and viruses on contact. The Germ Knob products will help prevent the spread of germs though the handling of these common objects and prevent the transmission of many illnesses, the germs of which are often first picked up on the fingers and hands.

The Germ Knob is produced in several different models on variations for doorknobs and door handles and is fabricated in synthetic rubber or pliable plastic. The material is treated with a long-lasting disinfecting anti-microbial formulation. The slip-on cover will fit round doorknobs as ell as a variety of door handles, both residential and commercial: colonial, venetian, lever-style and tubular commercial handles, functioning in the same manner as a sheath protecting the user's hands and fingers. Televised test marketing has been completed indicating exceptional consumer interest in the Germ Knob.

The Patent Pending Germ Knob was invented by Tehuti Wallace of Boston, MA who said, “Differing from the standard Germ Knob, the cover for shopping cart handles is available to retailers in large multi-unit packs which is then made available to patrons for their safety and convenience. Overall, every time we touch a doorknob or door handle we are touching an object that numerous others have touched before us. The Germ Knob disinfects and deflects possible germs and bacteria left from others and works similar to a hand-sanitizer. One cannot always wash their hands as often as might be needed but this product will help prevent the spread of germs.”
