"The Last Peg Lose": A New Competitive Game

Invents introduces "The Last Peg Lose" which provides challenge and skill in order to win and leave one peg left to win the game.

The Merriam -Webster Online Dictionary offers various descriptions of “games”. In the case of the Last Peg Lose, the best description is as follows—a physical or mental activity or contest that has rules and that people do for pleasure. The Last Peg Lose is a competitive game for two players, played with pegs on a small peg-board in which the players take turns removing pegs. The object is to leave one's opponent with the last peg standing. While the Last Peg Lose may be simple in concept it is endlessly varied and challenging in play. It is a fast-moving and entertaining game for players of all ages from seven to seniors.

The Last Peg Lose is somewhat reminiscent of peg board games often found in family restaurants, but—in this case—it is more challenging because there are two players. It is played with 12 pegs arranged in three rows. The two players oppose each other throughout the game which starts with a coin flip to determine who moves first. In the beginning all holes are pegged and the player who leaves the last peg for the opponent is the winner. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Last Peg Lose.

The Patent Pending Last Peg Lose was invented by Huey Carter of Compton, CA who said, “Whoever thought playing with pegs would be a fun game? But, it is and it is enjoyed by every challenger and naturally every winner. It is fun and can be played just about anywhere.”
