"The Pot Flower": An Innovative Way to Water Plants

Attention fauna and flora plant lovers. The Pot Flower is a line of attractive flower pots, including stands and systems equipped with a flow through, internal reservoir or basin designed to catch and retain water, minerals, and fertilizer for easy re-use. Conserving water, nutrients, and fertilizer that can be recycled to nourish and sustain the plants, the Pot Flower saves the gardeners time, effort, expense, and resources while also conserving water.

The Pot Flower has a screen type grid or drain that supports the potting soil and the plant, and allows water and dissolved nutrients to drain through the potting soil and the plant's root system. The excess water and nutrients will move through the screen drain and collect in a concealed, internal reservoir at the bottom of the pot. At the bottom of the reservoir a flexible drain hose, equipped with a terminal stop-cock valve, extends from the Pot Flower base. When the reservoir is full, simply use the hose to drain the reservoir into a suitable watering vessel, and recycle the nutrient rich drain water to water and nourish the plant, or any other plant. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Pot Flower.

The Patent Pending Pot Flower was invented by a container gardener of Phoenix, IL who said, “I thought of this idea while watering my plants outside and noticed how much water runs out of the pot and onto the ground.”
