"The Raines Cage": Keep Animals From Eating Plants

The Raines Cage is a line of protective mesh covers or cages specially designed for outdoor plants. It is designed to provide a simple yet effective means of shielding vegetation from harmful pests such as squirrels and birds while still allowing for the free flow of air, rain, sun and pollination. When it is assembled, the cage will encircle the plant and stop pests from coming near it. The Raines Cage will provide a simple yet effective means of protecting fragile plants from destructive outdoor pests. It will be made from a lightweight and durable mesh plastic, and will be an impenetrable shield that guards birds and squirrels from eating the plants. The mesh will still permit rain and sun, as well as bees and butterflies.

The Raines Cage can be easily secured over a plant in a matter of minutes, and will eliminate the need to employ cruel, inhumane methods such as traps or chemicals to deter the animals. It will come in a variety of sizes and colors to accommodate any outdoor plant. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Raines Cage.

The Patent Pending Raines Cage was invented by Zakiya Raines of New York, NY who said, “I came up with this idea to keep squirrels and birds from eating my outdoor plants that I keep on my roof garden.”
