"The Stabilizing Turning Aid": Assists Patients In Rising From And Sitting In A Chair

Invents unveils "The Stabilizing Turning Aid" which will benefit every mobility challenged individual as well as his/her caregiver.

Attention caregivers and caretakers! Lifting and moving and patient transfer is hard on the body of the caregiver or caretaker. The new Stabilizing Turning Aid helps the caregiver/caretaker as much as it helps the mobility challenged individual, him or herself. It is a support platform that is specially designed for assisting patients in rising from and sitting in a chair. The design intent of the Stabilizing Turning Aid is to provide mobility-challenged users and their caregivers with a safer and easier means of managing this task.

The Stabilizing Turning Aid rotates on a platform that needs just one assistant to help operate. The base is constructed of durable 3/4” plywood, injection molded plastic or similar materiel, dependent upon the manufacturer. Underneath the base a circular assembly of ball bearings are provided to facilitate easy rotation. It is effective and helps a patient come upward and onto the platform. The sides allow the user to aid in his or her movement and allows for the caregiver to simply slowly pivot the device to position the patient in front of another chair or onto a bed. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating exceptional consumer interest in Stabilizing Turning Aid.

The Patent Pending Stabilizing Turning Aid was invented by Paul Walder III of Jackson, NJ who said, “Until one has become a caregiver or until such time as one has limited mobility, this wonderful device may not be thought important. However, once that changes, the Stabilizing Turning Aid becomes a vital component in one's well-being. It works perfectly and allows the user to safely sit or stand easily.”
