New York, NY, August 31, 2016 (Newswire.com) - The ability of professional drivers such as those in large 18 wheelers, buses, and RV’s to determine the sufficient clearance for their vehicles has never been better than when using the new Sure Pass. The Sure Pass is a GPs monitoring and alarm system that warns drivers approaching underpasses, viaducts, tunnels and other structures of insufficient clearance for their vehicle. The vehicle height is entered into the Sure Pass database and includes the actual measurements of each and every structure along with GPS coordinates. The design intent is to alert and reroute the driver should the vehicle come within a predetermined distance of a bridge or structure with a clearance too low for their vehicle.
The Sure Pass will be available in two versions, one as an aftermarket accessory similar in size to a handheld or dashboard-mounted GPS unit powered by a vehicle auxiliary power-port or the cigarette lighter. Version two would be factory installed, as standard or optional safety equipment, powered by the wiring harness. In either version, the Sure Pass System employs GPS technology. The factory installed version will also issue audio-visual warnings; if the driver does not respond with evasive action, it will act to disable the vehicle in order to prevent an impending collision. Televised test marketing has recently been completed indicating strong consumer interest in the Sure Pass.
